Practice music video evaluation

Originally we were meant to make a music video for Kiss it better by Rihanna but then we decided on No Frauds by Nicki Minaj.
I enjoyed the editing aspect of the production even though i found it hard at first because i wasn't familiar with the software but when i learnt how to use it and do effects i enjoyed it because we could play about with the effects to decide which one suited our video and genre. During this process, i learnt how to edit briefly on Premier Pro and i also learnt about the filming process of having to shoot a scene a number of times as well as making sure the colour balance is correct whilst filming as it is hard to correct in editing. The major challenges were trying to match the video lip sync to the audio because we had cut bits out so the duration of the audio changed which made us hard to sync the video as it was ran on the original audio not the one we had cut and edited. It was also hard shooting outside because we wasnt aware of how to fully use the cameras so when trying to film outside the screen would go completely white and we wouldn't be able to see anything so we had to stick to filming inside. In addition we found it hard finding the correct white balance because when filming it looked fine but when it was on the screen in editing it had a yellow tinge to it that was difficult to correct without altering the whole footage. I think the major challenges will be for my main video will be filming because you can never have too much footage; The more footage you have the easier it is in editing because you have more to work with. thats something we could've improved on in our practice video; i feel like we didnt film alot so we were limited with footage to edit.
