Editing

The editing process took around 2-3 weeks. We done the filming and production of the music video; jordannah was in the music video so she took the lead with the editing however we all input ideas and feedback during the process. We started by placing the soundtrack (we used premier pro to edit our music video). Once we had laid our track onto the timeline, we began to add our footage. In the early stages of editing, we had quite a lot of blank gaps due to the fact we didn't have much footage because we hadn't finished filming yet so we were just working with what we had. We edited our footage to match the beat/rhythm of the song and focused of lip synching. we also got a fresh pair of eyes to look at our editing as well to see if our lip sync was off because after seeing the same clip repeatedly, its harder to spot errors.

Shooting the video

We had 3 weeks to shoot our music video, we had 2 TV studio filming sessions and location shoots in Shoreditch and Tottenham. We filmed the lead singer lip syncing to the whole song without stopping to form our main base/skeleton. We filmed it various times in close up, long, and medium shots and different angles so that we would have a variety of footage to choose from. Our lead singer knew the lyrics to the song so it was easy for her to lip sync to the track and it makes the editing process easier. We always had the track running even when we were not filming something specific because it allowed us to fill in gaps we hadn't filmed i.e the artist dancing to the song. Jordannah and tawania was in charge of makeup and costume and ensured everyone was wearing the right outfit and makeup/hair for the shoot. We were using a tripod so that we could have steady movement and white well lit light.
